About the Photographs:

I've always liked cameras and airplanes. When wielded by skilled and unskilled hands alike, the camera can not only record a moment however imperfectly, but can also record more than the human observer can see. This combination of recording a unique moment and creating a vision is what photography is all about.

I have been very fortunate to learn to fly and even more fortunate to be able to fly many different types of aircraft. Sometimes I was able to take my camera flying to share somewhat the experience that many are not able to. Many of my photographs therefore involve airplanes, but not all of them!

Many of my photographs are film based for several reasons. The process of transferring these to digital files of high quality is very time consuming, but results in outstanding images. That is why the number of images on this site is lower (but the quality I hope is higher!) than you might find other places where shooting and uploading is less restrictive and therefore requires less culling.

I hope you enjoy these pictures. Please feel free to . I would appreciate any comments you may have.

Thanks for looking.
